The Salvation Army of San Angelo

In 1901, The Salvation Army established its ministry along the banks of the Concho River and has continued to serve those in need throughout the Concho Valley area for over one hundred years. Its international longevity has reflected a respected and wonderful reputation among people for generations. Because of our identity, people of all walks of life are aware of who we are and what we do, particularly with regard to our services. Each year, The Salvation Army provides immediate assistance to hundreds of applicants who are faced with some type of hardship. The residual effect on lives of individuals turns hundreds of applicants into thousands of people served in this community. These are individuals who, in turn, will be productive in the community, often supporting the very programs that supported them in their time of need. Additionally, public recognition of the red shield and the number of people in every community who have been touched by our services at some point in their lives offer a true testimonial toward a unique and accountable organization with a proven history of stability. The Salvation Army of San Angelo sits on the board of the Concho Valley Homeless Planning Coalition. The Salvation Army also collaborates with multiple partners in the non-profit human service arena. Included in, but not limit to, these working relationships are: Concho Valley Regional Food Bank; American Red Cross; Christians In Action; and Catholic Outreach Services.
