West Central Community Action - Fremont County Outreach Center

West Central Community Action (formerly known as West Central Development Corporation) has been serving residents of Southwest Iowa for over 40 years through a variety of self-sufficiency programs. In partnership with state and federal government, we serve residents through our Outreach Centers and Head Start Centers in the 10-county region of Cass, Crawford, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Shelby. The Fremont County Outreach Center provides client intake, client assessment, client referrals, and coordinates with other community resources. The outreach center has a certified Family Development Specialist, assisted by senior aides and occasionally community volunteers. Staff work closely with local organizations to insure non-duplication of services and to maximize resources for resolving local poverty issues. The goal is to strive to assist low-income families of Fremont County in becoming self-sufficient. A wide variety of programs, services, and referrals reflect this accomplishment.
