Any applicant may qualify for housing as long as the income level requirement establishing low-income status is met. All priorities for preference will be verified at the time of pre-admission screening. The City of Wayne Housing Commission conforms to the Fair Housing Amendment Act of 1988 and has available special accessible units for those applicants requiring accommodations. The rent charges are determined according to 10% of the tenant’s gross yearly income or 30% of net income (whichever is greatest) or a flat rent if the resident chooses.
