About this program

The municipality of Plymouth administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22 MRSA section 4305, the municipal officers have adopted an ordinance establishing that program. General Assistance is administered by the First Selectman. Applications are available at the Town Office. Town Office hours are Mondays, 11 am to 6 pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 11 am to 4 pm, and Fridays from 7 am to noon. The Town Office is Closed all weekends and legal State of Maine holidays. General Assistance hours are by appointment.
