Town of Fryeburg - General Assistance

The General Assistance Program is designed to help people in emergencies. People may also be eligible to receive other benefits such as food stamps, veteran's benefits, or Social Security income. To request assistance, please contact Kelley-Marie Leonard at the Town Office. You must fill out an application which is accepted and reviewed. There are guidelines that you must meet in order to be eligible for the program. The application is private and confidential. A written decision will be issued by the General Assistance administrator within 24 hours of receiving an application.
