About this program

The municipality of Enfield administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22, MRSA section 4305, the municipal officers have adopted an ordinance establishing that program. People who wish to apply for General Assistance may do so by appointment only at the Town Office on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. People may call the Town Office at 732-4270 to arrange an appointment.

Assistance for basic necessities such as Rent/Mortgage, Heating Fuel, LP Gas, Electricity, Non-Elective Medical Services, Telephone When Medically Necessary, Food, Personal Supplies, Household Supplies
