About this program

The Town of Berwick administers a program of General Assistance available to all persons who are eligible to receive assistance in accordance with the standards of eligibility as provided in 22 M.R.S.A. 4301. Applications are available in the Town Clerk's Office. All applications will be processed and a decision rendered within 24 hours.

Assistance for basic needs such as rent/mortgage, electricity, heating fuel, medical expenses, etc.
