The Salvation Army Veteran Services

We operate 16 facilities and over 20 programs and services throughout Southern Nevada. The Salvation Army gives a hand up, not a hand out and we serve those in need without discrimination or judgment. SSVF program is designed to assist low-income veterans and their families in obtaining and maintaining stable housing. We have been awarded a grant from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to serve veterans throughout Southern Nevada. Supportive services can include case management, housing counseling, linakge to VA and mainstream benefits/services, temporary financial assistance to address housing barriers , life skills training, budgeting, job preparation, coping skills, housing preparation, credit repair, credit counseling, transportation assistance, landlord/tenant mediation. Assistance from peer mentors who are veterans themselves will add to the individualized, strength-based approach of care.
