The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on The Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Salvation Army continues to fulfill that mission meeting the need at the point of need. As the decades have progressed The Army has worked its way into more than 124 countries around the world and continually demonstrated an ability to accomplish much with little. It is because of this widespread, multifaceted approach to humanitarian work that our current Salvation Army holds the national title of “Doing The Most Good.”
