About this program

The Salvation Army of Summit County works every day to elevate men, women, and children from despair and to provide hope and assistance through programs that work. In addition to providing services, The Salvation Army teaches life skills to empower individuals with an opportunity to maximize their physical, emotional and spiritual being and to effect permanent, positive change. The Salvation Army Service Extension Office of Hudson assists people with financial need. Typically, help is provided for utility bills or shut-off notices. At times, assistance can be provided in the form of a food voucher. Here are the restrictions: Clients can receive assistance once annually; Clients must reside in the Hudson School District to receive assistance in our office; To receive assistance, clients are asked to call our office and leave a message. A volunteer staff member will return the call within 24 hours to pre-screen to determine assistance eligibility. If eligible, an interview will be scheduled in our office.
