The Catherine H. Tuck Foundation

In 2014, more than 220,000 women in the U.S. will receive a diagnosis for breast cancer. The treatment is expensive, strenuous, and will last an average of six months. The treatment will typically cost between $50,000 and $100,000, and even so-called “good insurance” won’t cover all of that. Many women are unable to work during their treatment, and will face a loss of income as the medical bills continue to mount. These women will have two simultaneous battles on their hands: medical and financial. We believe that women should be able to focus on healing and not have to worry about losing the roof over their heads, the car that they use to get to treatment, or how they will feed their families. The Catherine H. Tuck Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers breast cancer financial assistance through our "Catherine Fund" grant program. The mission of The Catherine H. Tuck Foundation is to provide short-term financial support for women who are in active treatment for breast cancer. Women who are having trouble making ends meet while in treatment for breast cancer can apply for financial assistance through our “Catherine Fund” program. We will make payments for non-medical expenses for things like; rent, utilities, transportation for treatment, childcare during treatment, and food.
