About this program

The Swannanoa Emergency Assistance Program (SEAP) is an activity of Swannanoa Community Council (SCC), a non-profit 501(c) (3), volunteer organization. SEAP serves Swannanoa community by providing emergency financial assistance/help/aid to households needing emergency electric bill assistance, medical bill assistance, heating fuel assistance, and water bill assistance. Founded in 1964, Swannanoa Community Council through SEAP provides emergency financial support for residents of Swannanoa. SCC also owns and manages Grovemont Park, the property which includes the Swannanoa Library, its free playground, and historic Grovemont Square. Funding sources include the United Way, Swannanoa Valley Medical Center, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other generous individuals and organizations.
