Section 8
Sullivan County Housing Authority administers the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. This federal program, when funding is available, provides RENTAL ASSISTANCE payments to 36 households in the County which are income eligible under HUD guidelines. Sullivan County Housing Authority maintains an open waiting list for admission into the program. When households leave this program and vouchers become available, iinterviews are scheduled from the open waiting list with preference given to the elderly, disabled, displaced and COUNTY RESIDENTS.
