Sugar Creek Township - Township Assistance

Previously know as "poor relief". It is one the duties of a township trustee. Township assistance is designed as emergency help when a qualifying township resident finds themselves in extreme finacial difficulty. Township assistance is NOT an ongoing assistance program and multiple applicants within the same year will generally be denied. Qualification for township assistance is based on the federal povery level guidelines.

Assistance can be provided for rent, utilities, medicines, food and clothing. Burial assisted is also included.
