About this program

We serve approximately 25,000 individuals who live in the southern tier of Kalamazoo County. This includes the villages of Vicksburg, Schoolcraft and Climax and the townships of Pavilion, Climax, Prairie Ronde, Schoolcraft, Brady and Wakeshma. Geographically we cover 38% of Kalamazoo County. Additionally we serve families in the Vicksburg and Schoolcraft School Districts who may live within neighboring jurisdictions. Within this population there are at least 11% living below the poverty level. Of the poverty level recorded, 37%, would be classified as being seniors,many of whom are living on fixed incomes.

Financial Assistance (Housing: Eviction diversion, emergency shelter and rapid re-housing; Utilities: Shut-off prevention for gas, electric, fuel and water; Healthcare; Holiday Assistance; Travel and fuel vouchers
