Schuylkill Community Action - Shenandoah (Outreach Program Office)

As a Community Action Agency, Schuylkill Community Action is governed by its Board of Directors. Schuylkill Community Action's Board consists of twenty-one (21) members, 1/3 of which are elected by low-income groups as representatives from designated organizations, groups or target areas; 1/3 representing elected public officials and 1/3 representing the private sector. This multi-sector participation allows those three groups to leverage distinct perspectives, understandings and strengths to the task of helping low-income people become more self-sufficient. Schuylkill County Outreach Program - This program is intended to provide comprehensive information regarding human services throughout Schuylkill County while facilitating access to those services. Follow-up services are also provided. This service is currently operating in Shenandoah, Tamaqua, and Mahanoy City communities.

Rent, Mortgage and Utility Assistance; Help with active PPL bills; Home Weatherization for home owners and renters; Emergency services for food and shelter; Home Buyers Program / Home Rehabilitation / Help with Foreclosure
