The Poplar Bluff Housing Authority is an independent agency that maintains 189 apartments for seniors and 286 family units at the Twin Towers, Hillcrest and Wilson housing centers. These units are affordable housing for the elderly and families. There is also a recreation/exercise area, dining area open to the public for lunch and a library with Internet access. Its governing board is appointed by the City Council.
