It is the mission of the Pickens County Community Action Committee and Community Development Corporation, Inc. to mobilize resources in an effort to eliminate poverty and improve the quality of life for the disadvantaged and low income resident of Pickens County, Alabama. Pickens Co. Community Action Committee and Community Development Corporation, Inc. is a not for profit organization that was chartered by the State of Alabama as a community Action Agency in 1965. The Agency provides comprehensive services for low-income residents semenax test results throughout Pickens Co., Alabama. The Corporation functions as an umbrella agency to several federal, state and local programs. As an umbrella provides protection, Pickens Co. community Action and CDC. Inc. provides structure and foundation for effective management and quality outcomes. Our umbrella is large, our commitment is broad, and each year we reflect on the impact our strategy has had on the quality of community. The triumphs of each program are celebrated; yet we see each success as an opportunity for continued growth.
