Ohkay Owingeh Housing Authority

The Ohkay Owingeh Housing Authority (OOHA) was established in 1997 to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to Tribal members living on the reservation. As the Tribally Designated Housing Entity (TDHE), OOHA was designated by the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Council to administer the Tribe’s Native American Housing and Assistance Act (NAHASDA) block grant funding and use it to reinvent housing and community development on the reservation.

Financial Education and Counseling; Homeownership Education and Counseling; Home Rehabilitation; Handicapped Accessible Renovations for Elders; New Construction; Administer the Mutual Help Program; Assist families in applying for the 184 Loan Guarantee Program; Provide rental housing with the Tsigo Bugeh Village Rental Program; Assist with Homeowners and Tenant Insurance through Amerind; Provide home owner maintenance training; Assist with qualified contractors for rehab-by-owner projects
