About this program

O.C.E.A.N., Inc. is the community action agency for the residents of Ocean County. A community action agency is a private non-profit or public non-profit organization that was created in the 1960’s to combat poverty throughout the country. O.C.E.A.N., Inc. is providing the Sandy Homeowner/ Renter Assistance Program (SHRAP). The Sandy Homeowner/Renter Assistance Program (SHRAP) is a temporary relief program to assist individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis resulting from Superstorm Sandy. The expense must be a direct result of the disaster.
