Funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we offer programs designed to help low-income families, including new construction and rental assistance programs. We are a completely nonprofit organization committed to supporting the local community and Alaska Natives. Please call us to learn more about our programs and to learn if you qualify. Our mission is to practice Inupiat values by promoting housing opportunities for our people.
Services offered
Rental Assistance Program - Our rental assistance program (RA) is designed to provide Alaska Native and Native American individuals and families funds to effectively reduce their monthly housing cost to an affordable level. Our goal is to reduce the cost of rent and tenant-paid utilities to just 30% of the household income. Program participants may choose from all available rental units in the market (subject to some limitations). Individual participation in the program is limited to a total of five years. The RA program includes several different types of vouchers, including those for families, elderly persons 62 years of age or older, and persons needing temporary or transitional housing assistance due to medical reasons.
