North Township Trustee’s Office - Township Assistance (East Chicago Office)

Our primary function is to provide Township Assistance to the less fortunate. We do this through an extensive application process making sure the right people are getting the assistance needed. The Township has seventy two (72) hours to make a decision on the applicant's case. The applicant will receive the decision in writing. If an applicant disagrees with the action taken, he/she has the right to appeal with the Board of Commissioners.
