About this program

The Prevention, Retention & Contingency Program (PRC) is designed to assist low-income families who are in need of help. Prevent families from depending on OWF cash assistance in crisis situations. Help retain employment by improving job skills, overcome barriers and provide short-term assistance. Provide contingent needs by helping with non-recurring, short term, crisis oriented benefits that could result in families needing long-term public assistance. PRC funding is provided through the Federal TANF Program (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Each county established their own PRC Plan based on the needs and priorities of families.
Services offered
PRC include: Payments for Household, Shelter & Utilities, Automobile Insurance, Automobile Payments, Car Repairs, Transportation, Child Welfare
