Both

Newport News Redevelopment & Housing Authority is responsible for two HUD government housing assistance programs. Both our Public Housing program and our Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program work off a waiting list. Newport News Redevelopment & Housing Authority has no emergency housing. Presently the waiting list for the Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Programs are closed.
