About this program

Mid-State Opportunity, Inc. was chartered as a private non-profit Community Action Agency in 1965 as a result of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Our goals are to provide opportunities for low-income people to work, receive education and training and the opportunity to live in decency and dignity. We offer case management services and a variety of programs to help us achieve these goals. Mid-State operates programs in six northwest Mississippi counties including DeSoto, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate and Tunica.

I submitted an application for rental assistance. I am in dyer need of help. My lease is in my name but my utilities are not and I was denied help. There is funds available for people like me so I do not understand why I could not be assisted. 901-330-5111

I have a Gas bill for $705.90 and I have called Mid-State Opportunity, Inc. several times to get help with this bill to noavail. The lady in the Olive Branch Office keep saying we can't get to your name yet. I am 93 years old and really need help with this gas bill. Do you know anyone else that I can ask for help? Please help me!
