About this program

One time, financial assistance for emergency needs. This program is reserved for families with minor children who reside in the home or pregnant individuals. The Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) program was established to help families overcome immediate barriers to self-sufficiency; a program for low-income families with children (under 18 years of age). Who may apply for PRC? Needy families with minor children or individuals who are pregnant; non-custodial parents of minor children (if the non-custodial parent lives in Ohio and does not live in the same household as the minor child and non-parental relatives who are caretakers of children < 18 years of age. Services are limited to one payment in a 12-month period.
Services offered
Payments may be provided to prevent eviction, utility disconnection, or car repairs for those gainfully employed.
