About this program

Since 1984 Marin AIDS Project (MAP) has provided services for people in Marin County living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Today MAP's services include free and confidential HIV testing, home-based health care, medical case management, benefits advocacy, mental health counseling and psychiatric services, emergency financial assistance, transportation assistance, a food pantry, a needle exchange program and a wide variety of supportive services and groups. Stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS requires prevention and education. MAP's staff, volunteers and clients collaborate to provide outreach and education for those at risk of infection. Services are provided in the Marin County Jail, at substance abuse treatment programs and in health classes throughout our local schools. We also offer individual prevention counseling at the agency.
