Laconia HRA

Laconia Housing Authority (LHA), formerly Laconia Housing & Redevelopment Authority, was organized by vote of the Laconia City Council on April 26, 1950 and is a joint agreement between the City of Laconia and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Authority's original purpose was to provide housing for those displaced by the massive downtown redevelopment of the late 60's. Since then its mission and work has changed to serve a wider population of the community.
