Established in 1915, Jewish Family Service is a human service organization, which reflects the Jewish tradition of caring and compassion for all people in need. Through professional counseling, advocacy and educational programming, our services seek to enhance and strengthen the quality of individual, family and community life. Jewish Family Service of Northeastern Pennsylvania is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, a Member of the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies and is an affiliated organization of the United Way of Lackawanna County and the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania. JFS has a professional responsibility to maintain the highest standards of care in guarding the confidentiality of the individuals who use our services and operates on a sliding fee scale.
