Low-Rent
The Jackson Housing Authority manages 74 units of low income public housing. We have a Hi Rise building at 116 State Street with 49 one bedroom units and 1 two bedroom unit. We also have 24 houses and duplexes scattered throughout the City of Jackson that have 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms. Our waiting lists are based on the size unit you qualify for and are in order of the date and time received by our office. We have waiting list preferences for veterans, dependants of veterans and elderly persons. Please contact us if you're interested in filling out an application or getting more information.
