About this program

The Help Office of Owensboro, Inc. is a Christian agency begun by a group of churches, laymen and clergymen from different denominations in 1972. Its mission is to provide basic human physiological and emergency assistance to the poor and to prevent duplication of services. We are the “Clearing House” for all churches in serving the poor.

Emergency Assistance: Rent, Utilities, Gasoline, Transportation, Food, Clothing and Shoes, Prescription Assistance (Non-Narcotic), Eyeglass Referrals (Lions Club), Dental Referrals, Temporary Employee Referrals, Any Type Household Items
