Hastings Family Service

Hastings Family Service is a community based nonprofit agency providing a range of emergency and supportive services for over forty years to assist and guide neighbors from the Hastings area who lack food, clothing, shelter, support or transportation. HFS provides help and hope in a spirit of caring and respect, knowing that unforeseen circumstances like job elimination, reduction in work hours or medical emergencies can happen to any of us at any time. The current economy has created numerous vulnerabilities, and HFS strives to assist those in need while providing fulfilling opportunities for volunteers and community member to support those efforts.

Emergency Assistance (Grants are provided for eligible applicants to assist with some expenses including housing, utilities, automobile related, gas to get to school, work or medical appointments & prescriptions; Vouchers may be provided for eligible applicants to redeem for dairy products, baby food/formula, diapers, emergency clothing & household items, and birthday bags)
