Grundy County Housing Authority

The Rental Housing Support Program is funded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) to provide rental assistance to households in Illinois. Similar to other housing programs, RHS subsidizes units across the state. Generally, landlords of participants in the RHS program receive the difference between 30 percent of the participant's household income and fair market rent from the RHS program. This permits participants to live in private housing, without the stigma that come from living in buildings identified as low income housing.
