Section 8

The Garfield County Housing Authority administers the federal Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program in Garfield and Pitkin counties. GCHA’s Rental Assistance Program helps pay rent for existing housing that is decent, safe and sanitary. Approved program participants locate rental units that meet program requirements. Rental assistance may be used in any housing with meets federal standards for size, quality and rent reasonableness.
