About this program

Frannie Peabody Center is the largest community-based HIV / AIDS service organization in Maine, providing prevention services for at-risk groups and direct services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Frannie Peabody Center is committed to preventing the spread of HIV infection in Southern Maine, while providing compassionate care for those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We promote awareness and risk-reduction through programs that provide prevention education, outreach, and anonymous HIV testing services. We also provide programs that address the impact of the disease on the individual. These include our case management, support services, and housing assistance programs. Frannie Peabody Center was formed in 2002, following a merger between Portland’s The AIDS Project and Peabody House, two organizations with long, progressive histories in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Maine.
