About this program

Cradle of Hope is a non-profit organization which provides financial aid to pregnant women and to women with infants less than three months of age. Cradle of Hope offers one-time assistance to mothers who are ineligible for aid from other resources and need immediate help with maternity-related expenses. Assistance is granted regardless of marital status, race, religion, age, or source of income. To receive Cradle of Hope financial assistance, an applicant must: Reside in the state of Minnesota; Be pregnant or have an infant under three months old; Show that pregnancy or birth of her baby is the cause of her financial crisis; Show that her financial crisis jeopardizes the safety and/or well-being of her and/or her child; Produce a plan that will prevent recurring financial crisis
Services offered
PAST DUE BILLS - We do not pay past bills unless related to current pregnancy; HOUSING - We pay grants for rent and mortgage payments. No deposits; UTILITIES - Medical devices needing utilities, only. Include a doctor's order and copy of the bill with contact name.; FOOD - Gift certificates from grocery store, Cub Foods or Rainbow in the Metro area - Nutritious foods, only. No pop, candy, sweets. List name, address, and phone number of store; MEDICAL - Make arrangements before baby is born. Submit the bill after birth. Up to $900.; CHILD CARE - Must be pregnancy-related such as doctor-ordered bedrest with young children in the home.; MATERNITY Clothes - Undergarments, clothing, or other maternity needs. Check with local crisis pregnancy centers for items before applying.
