Clarke County General Assistance

Clarke County General Assistance provides emergency payment vouchers to needy and poor people who are ineligible for, or are in immediate need and are awaiting approval and receipt of, assistance under programs provided for by State or Federal Law, or whose actual needs cannot be fully met by the assistance furnished under such programs. This program is designed to provide short-term emergency type assistance to persons lacking the resources to meet their basic needs. It is not intended to provide on-going, long-term aid to any individual and/or family.
