City of Rockland - General Assistance

The General Assistance office is located at Rockland City Hall. The entrance is accessible from the back parking lot behind the building in order to provide each client with as much privacy and confidentiality as possible. General Assistance is intended to provide immediate aid within 24 hours of an application for people who are unable to provide themselves or their families with basic necessities such as rent/mortgage, food, heating fuel medications and other items that are essential. It provides a safety net when citizens have no other resources available to them. It is considered to be the last resort when all other resources have been utilized.

Assistance for basic necessities such as Rent/Mortgage, Food, Heating Fuel, Medications
