The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) is a City responsibility and Department that is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered locally under the umbrella of the Consortium with the Housing Authority of Covington. Section 8 assists very low-income families, the elderly and disabled to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market.
