About this program

The Department of Human Services, located at City Hall, is responsible for providing General Assistance to qualified applicants in the areas of rent assistance, heating assistance, or other qualified types of assistance. General Assistance applications are taken by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Applicants must be ready to provide proof of income, expenses and receipts from the previous 30 days for everyone in the household.
