About this program

CCTT serves as a resource of last resort for low and moderate income individuals. We provide a coordinated network of human services dedicated to expediting assistance to the most vulnerable members of our community. We are able to work with all people and are not restricted to a specific segment of the population. We help people of all faiths. Essential services are provided as part of a comprehensive approach to solving present problems and underlying barriers to self-sufficiency. The Samaritan Center provides urgent, short-term financial assistance, free clothing and personal care items to families and individuals in immediate crisis. Unique in Tompkins County, we help low and moderate income individuals and families with utility payments, clothing, linens, bus passes and other miscellaneous needs. We can also help individuals and families request health insurance coverage and SNAP, formerly known as food stamp, benefits by assisting with SNAP enrollment and enrollment in the NYS Child Health Plus/Family Health Plus programs.
Services offered
