Athens County Department of Job and Family Services - PRC Program

PRC is funded through the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Those receiving assistance from other public assistance programs may also be eligible for PRC services. These funds are utilized for those unavoidable financial crises or disasters that occur and for which the family income cannot be expected to cover. Allocations are contintent upon available funding. Who is eligible for PRC services? Parents of children under 18, including noncustodial parents if they live in Ohio and are cooperating with the Child Support Enforcement Agency; Parents of children under 19, if child is still enrolled in high school; Pregnant women or teens; An agency serving TANF-eligible families

PRC include: Housing, Utilities, Emergency repairs, Replacment of household items lost in a fire or flood
