About this program

The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC) has been providing comfort care and services to people living with HIV/AIDS for over 30 years. ASGCC’s roots are in Provincetown when in 1983 a group of community members came together to respond to the arrival of AIDS on our shores. As the epidemic continued to spread the then Provincetown AIDS Support Group grew and in 2001 merged with two other Cape Cod based organizations – the Upper Cape AIDS Network and CARES – to create the current organization. Today ASGCC services individuals and families from all across Cape Cod and on Martha’s Vineyard. We also work closely with the Nantucket Access Network to ensure that we have comprehensive HIV/AIDS services throughout the entire Cape and Islands. In 2013 ASGCC commemorated our 30th year of providing services on Cape Cod.
